Hey, went through the Stonehold Portal today and it booted us out to the Gigaschatten portal area not the abyss, pretty sure it's a bug?

Just bumping because have tried to re-use the portal over two weeks and same result, as well as by approaching via the Astrolabe

Portals to the Abyss cross-server are booting myself and a few other players into the Gigschatten portal area

Attempting to go to the Abyss via the portals (possibly if it's the first time for a character)

Yep, very much broken, making the Radiant Heart writ impossible to complete. Sadly, since it's one of the last few RH writs before the last rank up for me personally

The portal in the CLoaker Hall is also broken and takes you to the OOC portal room. So you are unable to complete the CLoaker writ.

A similar issue to the one we are seeing with the astrolabe. I am hoping a recent change will fix this (Reset Required)

If you use the stonehold portal to the Abyss you will be sent back to the abyss whenever you try and return to surface server. I'm guessing because for the short moment you are sent back to your original position on the surface server, you land on the stonehold portal to the abyss and get sent back to the Abyss.

At first I assumed this was a hilarious joke, highlighting the maddening aspect of the Abyss as I rush from the start point to the source portal (fruitlessly expecting it to be a different result -this- time round), but I suspect it's not intentional.

I'm told this will fix with a server reset but hopefully the team can take a look at it to prevent it happening to others.

A quick workaround is to log in with a slightly different user name. You get saved to the last location on the server which, at the stonehold portal, directly ports you to the Abyss. If you've saved elsewhere on the same server with a slightly different name, you'll end up there and can get out

A bump to this post as it just happened again to Marley Goodman (DeepDarkTruth), Emma Young (D4WN), and Aeradir (Myself).

Can confirm the workaround regarding Username change works.

The obvious change that might fix it would be reverting it back to a transition zone rather than a local area script; the script seems to fire before the script for repositioning to a portal does.

I will look into making it less clunky over time.
