Now that it's confirmed that Half-Drow are a race that will be playable in Baldur's Gate 3, I believe that now may be a good (and long overdue) time to add them as playable PCs to Arelith. Existing and new players alike may be inspired to play one.
They need not be any different from normal half-elves, though if there are concerns, considerations for balance and RP flavor may be added.
A frequent objection in the past to their being added is numbers, though Half-Drow are not rare in the Underdark. Not all Half-Drow are Crinti, as well; Crinti refers to the ruling class of the cultural group in Dambrath (they being foreigners is why the Crinti writ is called "the Settlers") However, at least to avoid an initial surge in numbers, I suggest they be gated behind rewards:
Normal Award to play a Half-Drow in the Underdark
Greater Award to play a Half-Drow (Crinti) in the Underdark (the equivalent of spending awards to play a half-drow that is a noble)
Greater Award to play a Half-Drow on the surface (in places where drow raids or other interaction with drow are common, half-drow are about as common as half-orcs. this is not a thing that is very weird or unheard of.)
Half-Drow

Re: Half-Drow
This is the sort of thing that would, IMO, require a MAJOR discussion between the admin and dev teams if we ever implemented it. If we did, I'd push hard for it to be a Major at least.
For now I'm going to deny this though.

This too shall pass.
