Ghostwise Lore Abilities - Telepathy

Ghostwise Lore Abilities - Telepathy

I really wish this was a thing already but is there the possibility of a player command being added for Ghostwise hin that gives them their actual lore based ability to communicate telepathically with creatures within 20 feet who share a language? Like is there some way that a "-telepathy" command could be made where Ghostwise can type for example
"-telepathy playerA Hey, how is your day going?"
and instead of broadcasting something they are saying to everyone that one person gets a chat window notification that they are being communicated with through telepathy? The receiving character could either be notified who it is or receive a private message from themself that says something like
"*in your head: Hey, how is your day going?*"


This also would allow for a concentration check perhaps to determine the origin if it is decided they shouldn't know the origin automatically. I'd love to have this as an RP tool for playing Ghostwise hin and obviously someone could send tells for this but it seems metagame to use tells and also means it wouldn't be limited to Ghostwise. In theory having a "-" command could also allow for the team to put in some form of counterplay from characters with high enough spellcraft or concentration or something. Or even give access to the command through some hidden in game mechanic if you have enough of a specific skill or ability score.

The sourcebook material for this is on page 18 of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book where the following can be found
Speak without Sound (Su): A ghostwise halfling, unlike other halflings, can communicate telepathically with any creature within
20 feet, just as if speaking to him or her. The halfling can only
speak and listen to one person at a time, and he must share a common language with the person or creature he speaks to telepathically, or the telepathic link fails.
This also opens up the ability for a spell to be added for non Ghostwise that gives access to the command for rounds/level or a set number of rounds duration because in 3.0 Telepathy is a spell wizards and clerics can learn. And this could be a direct counter to the constant need to ward every conversation to stop the dozens of scryers from just listening in when they see a player on a server. Which given how much scrying is abused this would add another unique lore friendly counter to that mechanic that is completely in character.

Lots of people are aware of this lore part of the sub-race but there is no way for us to utilize it legitimately at the moment. I feel like this would not only be an incredible tool for driving RP among the Ghostwise players but it also would be a unique feature for Arelith to have such a tool to be used. This would also set the sub-race apart from lightfoot and give it an RP purpose rather than feeling like a pointless flavor choice that effects nothing. And given the server is a 3.0-3.5 hybrid this is accurate sourcebook driven lore.

Arelith has never allowed telepathy, and I would not like to see it brought in. Yes people can overhear/Scry/spy on your plans - but that is honestly as it should be. There needs to be measures and counter measures to various methods. Telepathy doesn't have a countermeasure. So no, this is not something I'd like to see implemented.
