Aura Versus Alignment

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Aura Versus Alignment

Post by Security_Blanket »

Aura Versus Alignment is a level 8 buff that doesn't offer a lot for being rounds per level. While the damage shield is stackable if you cast this level 8 spell twice. The damage is easily halved by drinking a NEP potion and only a little more effective than drinking a Death Armor potion. Since divine damage is neither good nor evil, I suggest that both are good/evil auras deal divine damage and cannot stack with one another. To make it worth casting, I would suggest an increased duration for the spell. Greater Spell Focus makes it 5 rounds per level, Epic Spell Focus 1 turn per level. This would also enable some good/evil priests to RP their holy/unholy aura.
