So, I tried a build that had an archer ranger dip on PGCC, but as the first ranger bonus feat I took two-weapon fighting, just to decrease the main hand penalty when wielding in off-hand a weapon that may have interesting feature (like trident daggers or the yet to come parry items).
Description
==========
Archer rangers still get the full benefit of the dual wield ability.
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
Get 3 levels of ranger with archer path, take two-weapon fighting as the first level ranger bonus feat, then wield a medium weapon in the main hand and a dagger in off-hand. I also verified this in the combat log and the off-hand attack bonus is exactly the same as shown on the character sheet.
Wearing medium armor on the other hand correctly makes the off-hand attack bonus decrease by four points, due to lack of ambidexterity. I verified this too in the combat log.
Expected result
-----------------------
The expected result would be that the off-hand attack should decrease in the same way as wearing medium armor.
Actual result
-------------------
The actual result, as stated above, is that an archer ranger in light armor receives the full benefit of the dual wield ranger ability for its single off-hand attack.

Re: Dual wield still working for archer ranger
So I reported this on one of my characters through direct channels a while ago, but I can piggy back here. I think this extends beyond this though. I don't think you need to take the two-weapon fighting feats at all. For whatever reason, ranger archers I roll up, when wearing clothing armor, get the full benefit of two-weapon fighting without any of the feats. I've had this occur on both a svirfneblin and on a human character.
Re: Dual wield still working for archer ranger
Yes, I do not think you need to take two-weapon fighting feats either. But it helped to show the difference when wearing medium armor.
Re: Dual wield still working for archer ranger
So this has been a thing since archer ranger was introduced. Simple reason behind it: the dual wield feat doesn't do anything. The TWF stuff is baked into the class. The feat is there for you, the player, to read, and nothing else.
When mith set up archer ranger, however, all he did was remove the feats. The first of which, again, is just there for your eyes and has no effect on a rangers function.

So just to clarify. It isn't that the character sheet lists the feat. It's that we are seeing the ab penalties drop even without the feats.
