Server reset was signalled; attempted to transition to Surface Server (which was up at the time).
Server stalled on portalling me to the other server. I crashed.
My character was no longer in my vault.

EDIT: I have just been informed that this is not an isolated incident. Send help.

This just happened to me too. I did some crafting and made my way to the Shadovar trade post. I attempted to transition from the Surface server to the Cities and Planes server from the Shadovar tradepost ferry to Shadow Wharftown. Both servers were up when I attempted this. I completed the dialogue with the NPC and there was no result. After walking around the trade post a bit, I saved my character (which said it was a successful save) and then logged off. I went to log back in shortly afterwards and my character disappeared from my character list.

Yikes. Best of luck getting it swiftly resolved. I'll be avoiding logging in till this is passed and TY for the warning.
