another UBAB thread, discussing alternative

Feel free to ignore if it the idea has no merit so that everyone can continue to post on other threads, but I have had an idea for a while i have tossed around, but never been able to make a formal suggestion on how to handle UBAB
I never liked the way UBAB worked as a 3.0 artifact in comparison to how 3.5 or pathfinder handles bonus attacks with monks. It is my concern that said doors is closed now that we are now changing weapons to accommodate them no longer ubab compatible.
It is my opinion that ubab should have been replaced with tiered bonus attacks based off monk level. So that a high level monks would have roughly the same apr weight, mid investment with half as much with dip having minimum weight (1 bonus attack only as an example).
There are couple reason to consider this idea:
-it would allow monks to consider ubab weapons still for higher levels.. even if fists are better at pure/heavy monk and allow a lot of mid level monk builds for ubab weapons as well
-would still handle the ubab dip issue
The reason reason I think is really important, as monk does have a lack of variety builds, with removal of scaling ac and defensive roll added for epic dodge, the suboptimal str fists has become even more suboptimal. Fear not, maybe you can do strength melee weapon instead.. ah that was too strong when qaud stating with combos where you only had 3 monk. Again not as much of an issue if you are forced to invest in raw monk levels for more attacks with said weapon.
