So, looking for some help here. I'm an on and off player who gets the urge to come and play Arelith every few months or so. Recently came back wanting to just dive in with the last character I had, a Zen Archery based Halfling Cleric using a sling.
Since last playing though Cleric's have had a complete retooling. Looks all good. But now I'm at a complete loss as to what to do with my character, ie. whether or not to make use of one of the new paths for the class or just go back to what he was, and maybe make something new one day to fully explore the new options.
Here are his base stats:
Race Halfling
STR: 12 (going to 13 to get Divine Might/Shield)
DEX: 10
CON: 10
INT: 14
WIS: 18 (focusing in just dumping into this for better ab, etc)
CHA: 16
Domains were Travel and Trickery, being a priest of Brandobaris and all.
I logged back on with him going back to level 1, but originally he was at level 23 or so from what I recall. Only feats I recall having were the obvious Divine Might/Shield. I had just started early taking some levels in Ranger for the Archer path, with the ultimate goal I think of having like 24 Cleric/ 3 Ranger/ 3 Bard/Rogue (dependent on RP reasons) for him. Not to fussed about him being optimised for PvP or anything, just not to be a whipping boy in PvM situations.
Play style for him was just using his sling, spamming the ol' Divine Favour and stuff for damage and ab, and just whaling on things while a summon takes aggro.
I'm asking for help mainly because the path's seem to do things to Divine Favour? RP-wise the Path of the Evangelist sounds quite interesting, but not sure if it would have any point with his current stat's/build. Seeing as how Divine Power would raise CHA to 18, so I would imagine you could get away with a build with lower base CHA? Or is the cool down for Divine Power redundant in that regard, 'cos as he stood, with Eagle's Splendour and a few items, I seem to recall he could push to about 24 or so CHA anyway while running around and about.
Not sure how the whole Bard song works as such either for that path. Seems a lot to dump onto a character I've had to rebuild without understanding any mechanics.
Should I just make him back as he was, or is there some benefit I'm not seeing with taking a path on him?
Cheers for any help, for anyone who can make sense of my garbled mess of a post!

Re: Help - Rebuilding a Zen Archery Cleric
I am playing a zen achery cleric, what I say is, you keep default path and get 3 rogue. Planer conduct is great, you have heavy amour for additional ac, and divine power give u damage. Or if u group up with people, warpriest is not bad either.
The cleric bard feels like a headache to build, if you like to sing (rp wise), it is decent. Test on PGCC, it will tell u how much rank u need in performing for max benefit. I ‘ll see if other has more build ideas on bard path.
