This may verge on FOIG and sorry, but...

My character is unable to obtain the items needed to open the temple door. AFAIK the search requirement was removed and these items should be available to anyone to pluck. Hopefully that wasn't reinstated?

I suspect it may be because they are level 6 and there's some invisible level requirement. If this is the case that should be looked at since they were able to take the writ and if you are eligible to take the writ you ought to be able to obtain those items.

Sometimes the heads bugs out. I would try revisiting them once the server reset. There isn’t any level requirement to obtain the gems - I’ve done it as level 4. And very recently as well. If you continue to have issues, find me on discord and I’ll help you.

I tried yesterday, left the character there and logged out of frustration, came back today after a reset and it's the same problem- I click the menu item that is supposed to produce the result and it doesn't happen (it's the message you used to get when there was a skill requirement). Actually waited to post this until after the reset to see if that was the issue.

I know how it's supposed to work and have done it a few times on other characters so I don't need help figuring it out but thanks.

AFAIK the puzzle was circumvented by having the gems just be added to the Temple's little bucket there at the door, but I think occassionaly some new players get confused and pick up the gems with the intention to sell them - which breaks the dungeon.

I suspect this because every now and then I see the fake derro gems in the gem scales as if people tried to sell them.

Maybe it just takes another reset and a 'get there first' attempt to ensure the puzzle is still solved.

Why don't the doors just be left unlocked by the DM's if there are so many issues revolving around this writ?
