Arcane Flux has been a fantastic change for spellswords. I was reserved about the nerfs to elemental strike's AB and spellsword's overall AC, but with the right spells used arcane flux definitely helps make up for the losses.
Its only issue is it's significantly RNG-based. Without a crit, on average you're looking at 1 proc per 10 rounds. With a crit, 1 proc per 5 rounds but that's assuming you're landing a crit every time you use Elemental Strike. The other issue with this is that Arcane Flux requires you to go use it on monsters and have it prepped for PvP otherwise it's a dead ability for spellswords before any PvP.
Could we see a free Arcane Flux boon every 4 minutes alongside the current system whether it be based on its own cooldown or since you last received your last Arcane Flux?

Re: Arcane Flux and its Consistency
I'm glad you like it!
And honestly, it was never designed to be a PvP ability. If characters happen to have it up when PvP starts, that's fine. I don't think a single hostile spell from the class spellbook is going to be a deciding factor in these battles though, when you could instead cause actual damage with elemental strikes instead.
Originally I thought about having it vanish after a few minutes, but decided against it for the sake of simplicity and user experience - back then the effect didn't have an icon.
It's worth noting that there is a hidden, partially randomised cooldown that prevents Arcane Flux from firing again for a time after replenishing a spell, so the proc chances don't matter all that much. I've found it to trigger pretty consistently in PvE, every 2 to 4 encounters or so.
I generally like such features not being entirely predictable. Makes them feel more rewarding when they do trigger :)

Re: Arcane Flux and its Consistency
I have been really loving the arcane flux mechanic, both for wizards and especially spellswords.
Being able to slot a few offensive spells which you can use every so often as an opener or to give a little extra boost to damage is awesome, since normally I would not waste a slot on a spellsword for a one time use damage spell.
For wizards, it gives a nice little boon to cast something terrible against the foe for "free". Overall, this is a great mechanic.

It'd be nice if the infinite spells given by GSF had the same chance to trigger Arcane Flux for wizards/spellswords. Cantrips as-are kind of replace them entirely.

Re: Arcane Flux and its Consistency
I wanted to add as comment, currently playing a generalist who supposedly has a 10% chance. I extensively tested out the differences between the two on PGCC and decided to go with generalist anyways. Spellswords felt like they really did shine in comparison with the consistency of being able to use fluxes, but definitely felt like there was a benefit for being a crit-build and weapon.
My attempts with a wizard varied, I understand the randomness of probability but I've felt like its been much less reliable. I rarely see it in 1:10 casts, and have gone as long as 270 cantrips casts before I've seen it proc, I wonder in these instances there has been server changes in between where I saw long delays. About every 3-4 encounters seems right to me besides the occasional abnormal circumstance.
1) I definitely would love to see the GSF spells be able to participate as a proc-chance the way cantrips are.
2) I would have loved to see a benefit towards the variety of spells capable of fluxing currently, as generally right now using the best / highest level spells is most optimal. Perhaps including a way where lower-level spells used as a flux might have a benefit over just choosing the best? A slight improvement to their DC to maybe make a difference between the spell levels, a higher cap on their damage dice, or little things like that. I'd love to have a reason to make lower-level spells more viable picks for that free cast~

Personally, I'd love to see the chance for flux increased for wizards, as a specialist, that 5% is really iffy and you pretty much need to get very lucky to get a flux when you need it.
It would also be nice if there was a way to 'save' a flux, for when you want to do a 2 spell combo, or simply want to cast a spell regularly and save the flux for a big moment later on.
