Hello there!

I know Shaman and Ranger has synergy, but want brew potion and a raven familiar for RP purposes.

Will the Sorc levels affect how viable my shaman is much?

You can just go Ranger 4/shaman 26 and take the Raven totem, which would get you a Raven animal companion

On PGCC when I dip, it is not allowing me to pick a path.. hmm..

If I remember right, and I may not be, you need to do it through the special NPC and you need to be at the level where ranger would get an animal companion.

I don't think totem works through -path command (archer path does, not totem), though it's an option when you start as a ranger.

This all may be wrong and I'm not going to test it so take all this with a grain of salt.

Makes you a money printer pretty much. You can put some very neat things on sorcerer sequencer that they cannot get in any other way. Other than that it gimps your build and hurts your AC a lot compared to a monk dip.

I think, from math and logic perspective, investing a whole class into your build to get Brew potion is more 'expensive' than just investing a feat into Brew potion.

Money printing isn't so much the path I care for, appreciate your help!
