Comment on suggestion: Serving table

Post by Party in the forest at midnight »

Hey, there's nowhere to elaborate on suggestions, and the forum is locked so I can't add details. But this is something related to it that I think is even more important than the base reason for the suggestion.

I was told that crafting station fixtures can generate a lot of lag when used as serving tables or for storage, because they check every single item put in them and if they are crafting ingredients. If this is true, having some table fixtures that we can put things in might help decrease lag generated by events.

Serving Table Fixture

Hello! Whenever a player hosts an event and wants to have a table out with food or drink on it, many players end up using the tailoring workstation as it looks the most 'right' while having an inventory one can put things in. It's annoying because when you remove items from it, it auto-prompts the tailoring crafting box to open.

It would be nice to instead have a serving table fixture (could even look the exact same as a currently existing table model) that has its own inventory with no bells and whistles like barrels, kegs, armoires, and other such fixtures do.

There is the wardrobe and chest of drawers that can be used in this way, or at least I have used them as such in the past. One for drinks and one for food. Not sure if that helps, yes a table would probably be much nicer, but they could be a stand in for now.

Edit: And now moving on to the suggestion thread I see what you were referring too so.. yeah! Less craft heavy material wise table, sorry about that!
