Naleeah's Fond Farewell

Post by KregorRanger »

*The tenday draws to a close, and many of Naleeah's friends and loved ones find a note beneath their doors, or upon the boards of the festhall, As the new tenday breaks, Naleeah will step upon the ship she arrived upon, to return back home*

My covert alt turned main had a much shorter lived storyline than Kregor's. Toying with a build around a non-supported prestige class led to me aspiring to build a story and faction around a festhall. Doing it in a way that it could offer the look and feel of such a place in Cordor, while staying within the confines of Arelith's server rules, and offering a fun social interaction for players that also managed to muster a little intrigue and adventure along with it.

Plenty of characters added to make it possible and fun:

Marcus and Nyx: Because without you, there wouldn't have been a place to house it. Also for the time spent as the Demarin household's handmaiden. It was fun RP always.

Sera, Andriarna, Aligonda, and Koristan: Because you seized on to the idea and brought your courtiers to the table. Was fun developing the individual stories between each one, and also for the group dynamic of all these flirty characters under one roof. Each of you have your own quirks, and made a different impression as something besides 2D characters.

Wilhelmina: The nice sweet elder lady who was un-pent-up enough to come on board as the cook. Though the interaction was short, your character stood out and gave the place a much different character.

Noren Teafire: Your bard is a hoot, and added fun with his performance to the festhall. You need to play him more!

Natasha Breen: Not only a true bard, but an excellent hostess as well. Your PC worked her butt off at the last revel to make it a success and keep other characters engaged. Thanks for that. :)

Alara Thienfalen: Not only an excellent bard to entertain with her original songs, but also an intriguing character with so many dangers and troubles she needed rescuing from. Thanks for the storyline between them, and the happy ending afforded to them.

Jurdi Ferklesohn: The bodyguard with a golden heart. Their RP and adventures together were always fun. You had a perfect balance of humor with sensitivity and seriousness. So much more complex than your standard rogue PC.

Lanika Marth: Your bitter Hoaran with a gentle heart made for a great adventuring companion with Jurdi and Naleeah, and whomever else of the posse or random roundups might come along. Watching you and Jurdi play off of each other's humor was always a hoot.

Sawyer Brook: Finally getting hooked into Sawyer's storyline more fully right before leaving, I do regret not finding out more about the mystery behind her fellow Sharessan.

Gigoi SIlveroak: For believing in the festhall to the point of supporting it, and for making Naleeah the city Event Director, and for the fun RP between them. You're inclusive, and you try to draw people into events and interaction. Thanks for that.

Byron Mur: For about half the time Naleeah was around, Byron was her faith brother, adventuring partner, festhall co-planner, and lover. RL came first and made him disappear, but it was fun while it lasted!

Tyrion Malhinde and Paul Kennington: Former Admiral and Captain of the Avora, who took Byron and Naleeah on all sort of voyages. Fun banter during the adventures, as well as the roleplay on the voyages home added interest to the level grind.

Memmorath Mersham: The Banite countryman she just happened to run into at a costume party, ended up being her favored patron for a good while. A source of scandal for Naleeah early on, at least to those who didn't know the real reason she was letting him take her up the mountain to his lodge. ;)

Shin'idya: The meeting that began to assure Alara's freedom from her slavery, turned into a regular encounter to try and bring salvation to a Drow. Her internal conflict was played out well at each turn, and it's sad that there won't be a conclusion to the hopeful conversion attempt.

And so many others Naleeah has run into, from greeting newbies to the server, and veterans alike. I can't even name the full list of characters that have made an impression upon Naleeah as a character.

While I'd be tempted to linger upon Nal's story and the festhall plot for longer, I made a decision on a different RP direction. The festhall and faction are still there, and available for one or more of the group to carry it forward.

Thanks to everyone! Looking forward to seeing folks with the new concept.

Fantastic festhall fun. I can barely organize myself let alone others, and find myself being serious only by accident, but you managed all of that extremely well, setting aside the great rp. Thanks.

We'll miss her jiggling. Err...jingling. Jurdi might be able to find her--he probably has a map somewhere, and a lead on the flying carpet thing. Just saying. Cheers.

Memm thanks for the RP and time enjoyed! Unfortunately, other things started to creep in and his attention was shifted elsewhere, but it was a good run!

Sad to see Naleeah go. Always a great time interacting with her.
Also very impressive, the effort you the player put in to bringing people into events and stories.
Namil: "He has this effect on young females."

Oliver: "He appreciates comedy." *He utters softly, in a near apologetic tone on Giogi's behalf.*

Wow, you remember the stories of each of those characters? You really pay attention :P

Also, those who are part of the evergold faction, just keep an eye on the faction messages ;).

Bildockin is still kicking himself for getting exiled before the fest-hall grand opening. Still... Being limited to the confines of the Social Club when visiting Cordor isn't the worst I suppose.

Naleeah made some fun rp, and was a neat concept! Sadly RL took me away before I could have more fun with her- but she was great. Can't wait to see what you do next.
