I have played two characters where they both had a role for managing the economies for the Table and the Sharps. This is suggestion is based on those experiences.
This suggestion serves two purposes:
1. To promote (relatively) even distribution of shops throughout the three districts to further promote a level playing field for financial power, and
2. By moving shops about to offer them more exposure.
Currently the set-up is this for shops for each district:
1. Devil's Table
- 4 outside in the general area
- 2 in the gladiator arena
2. Sharps
- 3 outside in the general area
- 2 in the district house
3. Greyport
- 4 outside in the general area
- 4 quarter/shop combos
- 2 in the district house
- 4 at the Red Tower
- 1 just outside the gandola
As seen, Greyport completely outclasses the two older districts even when they combine their total number of shops. However, as far as taxable shops Greyport does have just 11 shops. Regardless, far more than the other two districts.
Presuming no revamps on the mapping of the older districts is planned, here is what I suggest on the shops.
1. Devil's Table
- Replace both the two shops with temporary stalls. These two permanent shops have always been perpetually empty or without an owner as they see no traffic at all.
- Add 1 permanent shop where the rest are.
- Add 3 permanent shops in front of the public library; there is a bazaar there.
Devil's Table will have 8 shops total.
2. Sharps
- Add 3 permanent shops inside of the bank.
The Sharps will have 8 shops total.
3. Greyport
- Shops will remain untouched due to the inconvenience of being inaccessible aside from by NPC travel.
