The new mode is pretty, but where the old one was suggestive of femininity, but poorly pixelated enough to get by if you were male, the new model is completely female and female in HD.

Just one male pixie model please!

But yeah, Opening Poster has a very good point, especially where WYSIWYG comes in. With that in mind the team are working on making a male pixie modle. It may not be the prettiest, but it'll be something.

In the long term, we'll be hopefully looking at implementing ANOTHER, even cooler appearence option for pixies, but that could take a while. So this should be a good stopgap.

Male pixie models. These will be rolled out to familiar skins and appearance options over the next week or so.

Will this be automated? How do existing PCs access this?

I know flogging the development team doesn't work...unless...you know, they're into that. But, beating the drum again for a male pixie model...any model; sub par...unanimated...doesn't matter.

I left my PC shelved, but ran into another PC trying to pull if off...and...ugh, its just jarringly jarring.

I agree. If the model is there already, just let people have it as a placeholder?

Ideally the solution would be dynamic models (which is already possible with what we have in game), by combining the resizing tool, using an elf appearance base, and applying the butterfly wings that get customised by base armour colours.

DMs can change appearance of characters already so this is something that’s already possible to be done manually, whether it’s the dynamic option or the male model. There aren’t many pixies compared to the amount of tiefling with tails, so this isn’t a big ask for the team!

The answer is still no to the usage of the alternative pixie model as we are in the process of developing the new PC model.

It just takes time. I have a busy schedule and am the one helming its development.
