As some know, a while back, Skaljard had actually been auctioned off to several groups like the Thays, Sibyard, Cordor, but surprisingly the ones to have won that auction were the Lantan. So for all that was worth, everyone figured things would change, there was a closed off mine by the dock stating that the Lantans have started resource gathering as they had stated in their auction campaign at the time. But nothing new ever came from that plotline, what did the Lantans actually do for Skaljard? Why is there no longer Lantan representation for an actual DM sponsored event that had happened?
I suppose this also opens lines of questions of what can be done to revive this plotline for Skal now, of how to bring back the Lantan, the true righteous rulers of Skal that they had brought. I mean, there is a real lack of protective clockworks about the isle for a place that was promised protection under Lantan. And if this will mean more lore on the arcanist's tower in Skaljard itself.
