Weapon master idea

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Weapon master idea

Post by imgoinginane83 »

So you know how the fighter class gets the bonus enhancements to weapons and armor? How bout adding that to Weapon masters as well, have it stack together so a 13fighter 7 wm gets the +4 bonus all together. Now, I don't see a point for weapon masters to gain the armor bonus as well. I just feel that a fighter wishes to gain mastery in his weapons and armor. A weapon master, wishes to gain mastery in his weapon and therefore he would get that additional bonus on his weapon only.
I hope I made sense there.
If possible if this goes into the "ain't gonna happen" pile, could i get an explanation why please? :)
Thankyou and have a great day yall!

Weapon masters are already one of the strongest PrCs in the game, so I don't see the need to further buff them! Fighter/WM is now a separate but equally viable choice to pure fighter... gaining more attack bonuses than the fighter gets from their soft bonuses, but without the AC bonuses and only for their weapon of choice, while the pure fighter is more a master-at-arms all-rounder.
