I'm having difficulty selecting "Totem path" from the -path dialogue on my Ranger. I am cleric 6/Ranger 3 (started as cleric), I tried using -path at ranger levels 1,2, and 3 and "1. Archer" and "2. no Path" were the only options in dialogue. I think I fully selected "No Path" at some point in level 3 Ranger and now -path only lists "1. No path" as options.

You either have to take the totem path at character creation or find the semi-secret FOIG NPC for it later (There is a levelreq. for it if you take it later, too).
I guess you also need to find the semi-secret NPC before you reach level 4 as ranger?
I was asked by DM Avalon Soul to post here as the DM Team online couldn't find an answer. Is the reply above an official response?
Hello, this is not a bug, you won't be able to select totem -path after you leave the starting area.

From what I recall you should be able to find it and simply do it. I believe the level requirement is a threshold, not a limit. IE being above a certain level, though as to what it is I don't know I'm afraid.

The NPCs who give totem access require you to be at the level where you can access spells.
For a Ranger, that’s level 4.
As above. The best way to become a totem ranger is to go to the FOIG locations to become one. Some upcoming work to modernize the ranger paths will address this as well in some manner, making it so you will need to go to the FOIG location either way or by decoupling the paths from the totem "path", at least once I have time and focus
