Divine Power not working as per the spell descirption

Post by Elena »

Description of Bug Experienced:

I cast the spell divine power with my cleric. All effects take place, except for the STR raise, which should become 18, since I had less STR before casting. According to the Arelith Wiki spell descirption https://wiki.nwnarelith.com/Divine_Power
Description: The caster gains the following bonuses: 1 extra hit point per caster level, strength is raised to 18 (if their strength is already 18 or higher, it is not raised further), and base attack bonus improves to that of a fighter of the same level. Cannot be cast from a scroll.

I expected my STR, which was 13 before casting, to become 18, as per the spell's description above.
I did get the base attack bonus improvement, I also did get the bonus HP, but the STR value did not become 18

I know if cast multiple times, STR value becomes 18, cast again, resets, cast again, becomes 18, etc. I know this from having used the spell before. But it does not change STR at all anymore (for me). Different paths would alter the spell, but I did not choose any of those, I have the "default" Cleric path (Screenshot).

Steps to reproduce the Bug:

Cast divine power with my cleric

Expected Result:

Effects as per the spell's descirption, since I have the default path for clerics. (Screenshot)

Actual Result:

All effects, but no STR raise

What's your dexterity? Divine Power can affect strength or dexterity now.

This is the default cleric path:

For the duration of Divine Power:
Receives Full BAB progression (Soft AB), including gaining APR (up to 4 APR)
Gains 1 Temporary HP per caster level
Strength or Dexterity (Soft) is increased to 18 or by 2, whichever results in a higher score.
Raises whichever has the highest base, Strength takes priority over Dexterity if base scores are equal.

My dexterity is 24.. and this is a screenshot from the spell description itself. It says STR explicitely?

Same as the wiki page https://wiki.nwnarelith.com/Divine_Power

If your dex is higher you will get +2 dex instead of the str
