Since last year (08-01-2023) we started roleplaying the group called The Tuskian Warband. When we organised this group, the camp was deserted, no one was using it anymore, some people had a cave there but it did not have an active purpose. We made a handmade tavern, a public crafting area, a temple for half-orc faith, a library having lore and now a Hall of Legends where we can tell stories about our exploits, using the space to create even more RP for all half-orcs as well as Tuskians (joined members).
With this place we try to create server wide RP. Including people who are interested. Mostly by holding our Orcish Councils once a month. Many others from all other settlements have come to us during these councils to participate. The last year has been a blast having this place to call home.
With the Tuskian Warband we are actively using the camp. Building it up by the use of fixtures, calling it our home. We have reached the point that we cannot improve the camp further more and we need an active DM who wants to support our cause. Below we will make some pointers to what we are experiencing. Hopefully with this application we can come together to have a talk about the situation.
1 Name Change
"The Tuskian Bay”
At this moment the place is called: The Horde Camp. When this name was chosen for the place it would have made sense, we feel with a name change it give more purpose to all the people from the Tuskian Warband who are actively using the place and the Island as a whole.
Looking at the natural shape of the beach, the hills to the back. We would like to propose to change the name to “The Tuskian Bay”
With our long standing RP on this server everyone know the The Tuskian Warband. We build up the place for more one and a half year. Naming it more appropriate gives it also more purpose. A bay where everyone can come together.
2 Making the camp more accessible
As of now the camps gates are closed for outsiders unless you are a half orc. With the below mentioned "Tuskian Keep" the gates could be open, the portal accessible for public and it would give a reason for others to visit the location as a whole, increasing role play encounters and actually opening up an area to the general public. It would not need to be Gigantic like the Icehold or anything like that. But something that reflects our hard work. We even have an alliance with Guldorand, bendir, and Myon. Guldorland promised to provide us with some of the materials to build up our camp into something more than what it is now. (RP that has been conducted over the course of a year IRL).
3 The Tuskian Keep
Right now the camp is a collection of caves with no central space or a place a possible faction could call home. We would request the Construction of a proper guildhouse that is open for the public, with an inner circle that is for the Tuskian Warband or the Current Stronghold Guiding Half Orc Faction.
4 The Tuskian Bay Lighthouse
Currently one of the caves that can be player owned has a rooftop garden. We propose to place a lighthouse acting as another quarter able to be player rented. The Lighthouse Keepers Quarters. In order to make it accessible we ask to make the cave with the rooftop a public space used as a tavern.
5 Other possible new buildings
There are quite a few parts of the camp that have a nice space that a few new structures could be built on. Going with the theme of the jungles, combined with the fact the faction is very "jungle conscious" (one of us is a druid and we respect our land very much). While we would love nothing more than to have a few more structures we also want to try and keep it thematic. This is why we really only requested a lighthouse and a guildhall. We would love to have one or two other new structures as well. Included is a screenshot of the camp with a number of areas highlighted with suggestions of structures. One, none, or even all (Hopeful thinking).
In conclusion we think that these changes will lead to even more inclusive RP with the rest of the island as the Tuskian Warband continues to make a name for themselves. The group known for their honor and steadfastness. Always coming to the call when its sent forth to defend those who can not defend themselves.
