How are you suppose to get CL on Evangelist?

There are no CL increases for Bard like say warpriest or seeker gets, so if you go say 8 bard 22 cleric, for 25 bard song - you have 22 CL, which is uh, pretty bad. even if you go 27/3 you're still at 27 CL vs dispel. Am I missing something or is this just a wonky viable class?

You can get arcane defense abjuration for +2 cl against dispels, good on the 27/3
