The Third Eye Closes - Xveven's Farewell

Post by Tesla420 »

Tonight Xveven was slain ; Rest in peace Dauphrin of Divination.

As part of a personal rule for the character I made when I created him. After one smash in PvP he would be deleted.
When I first created Xveven I wanted to create a character that would express how powerful scry could be mechanically if properly utilized with strategy and technique.
I also wanted to give people the opportunity that if they felt someone was scrying them. They could give a reasonable guess as to who. Interact with the scrier or even perhaps grab their weapon and set out to do something about him if they could successfully catch him.

Thank you to frienimies. To all of Andunor, and the surface it was a pleasure. I wish I could list everyone who made an impact on Xveven, but I feel I would probably be listing half of the server. Thank you also all of Xveven's rivals and attempted rivalries, it was an absolute blast even if my character didn't seem like he was enjoying it IC!

This was my first attempt on Arelith trying to play a "chaotic evil bad guy." I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
I am going to step away from Arelith for awhile, because every city at the moment will feel way too familiar! However I am sure one day soon I will be drawn back to the Timeless Isle to make another character we all can enjoy together. :)

Best regards to all my friends.

It's been great. Having Xveven around really changed the atmosphere and caused Andunor to feel like a place to be paranoid in. He'll be missed, and I look forward to your next character.

We loved to hate you, good sir.

Sincerely, one of the few Abjurant Champions left who is very happy she didn't roll.

Ryana: "Not a paladin." I'll take that as a compliment.

Xveven was one of Changeling's best buddies, and overall one of the highlights of my time playing in the Underdark. He was able to become a real force of nature for his enemies unlike any I've seen on the server before, with the power of scrying and note-taking. Thanks for all the RP!

It's always the real ones that roll.

I salute your commitment to the concept, and playing it to the hilt the whole way through.

As one of your 'victims' I can attest that X'Veven added quite the tension to any surfacers trying to traipse through the Underdark. Somehow my poor bard was more frightened of a diviner than all the warriors down there combined.
It's not often we see a character that frightening without a lot of physical bluster.

Kudos!

Xveven was a blast to RP with. A well-played, deep and complex character with a very eye-catching personality. I thoroughly enjoyed Xveven and Vasyrin's storyline. Very well done; looking forward to your next move!

Maaaaan. I'll miss that guy, he was excellent at creating an aura of paranoia. And honestly was just a fun dude to interact with.

He was a very neat character! Always seemed to be involved in -something- I enjoyed seeing him around and wish we could have interacted more!

Steven the Drow is dead? Sure thing buddy! Believe it when I see his body!

EDIT: To clarify, I jest. But Sil never had many if any run ins with Xveven. But he was a menace for sur and a big annoyance for her. Truly a villian from distance. Not many can pull that off.

While Xinxali left Xveven with little more than nightmares... and scars... and perhaps faster reflexes... the pretend instant-Matron likely understood her little pet more than most and had hoped that his drive and ambitions would have eventually set him free - from himself - and the harrowing dark corner of Andunor that is the Devil's Table. Fake it till you make it.

Blingstone is one of the most inclusive, fun RPers out there, and just keeps getting better with each new chapter. Xveven was a true gem, even if our character's time together was short. Rock on, my friend. =)
