Double familiar as Wiz/LM only uses the one

• Get LM and have to pick second familiar (for the sake of this test, cat familiar)
• Summon LM cat familiar > results in wizard squirrel familiar
• Summon wizard squirrel familiar > results in wizard squirrel familiar

Should I only have one familiar considering I'm already a wizard? Or do I genuinely get 2 familiars and I can pick and choose what skills I want buffed?

Only 1 source should be counting unless they've changed how they work in the base game. If you're a Wiz15/Sorc15, you'd get access twice but still only have the ability to summon 1.

In theory, since the summon familiar is the same feat (and deliberately I avoided scripting a flavor "Secret of Arcane Companions" feat), it's mechanically impossible to take it again. You already have it, feats don't stack with themselves in NWN (and the ones that ado, are actually many separate feats).

So, no 2 familiars. If you see this again after the last bugfix, report it. Otherwise I'll close this thread in a couple of days.

If you're renaming/making/adjusting LM feats, can I request that Secret Knowledge of Warding is renamed like what was done recently to the scry one to call it instead: Secret Knowledge of Abjuration?
