Polearm Crit-Range Diversity

Post by Kushion »

Presently, all of the Polearms except certain TWF ones (Cane, Quarterstaff, Twinblade) follow the 20x3 crit threat range.

While this is /fine/, and 20x3 being quite effective at high bursts, it also leaves no diversity in crit range options. If I invest in 2H focus, I can use a 20x3 Maul, or swap to a 19-20x2 Greatsword if I want lower damage, higher frequency of crits - The option is there.

I'm not asking for an 18-20x2 variant, but- Even just one of the polearms being made 19-20x2 might help in seeing more use and providing some more versatility for polearm users. Maybe one of the newer ones, like Yari or Billhook?

The design behind this is mainly to serve as a "counter" to Polearm Weapon Focus group's versatility of wielding its weapons either one-handed with shield or two-handed.

However, at some point, we'll likely do another set of weapon adjustments noted here: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=45721&p=339807#p339807

Which should address this suggestion at some point. It is not in the near future, however, until other projects are well on their way to delivery.

For you, the day Kenji overhauled your class was the most important day of your life.
But for me, it was Tuesday. :face_with_monocle: To-do list
