Remove Use/Take Object Dialogue for Fixtures

Post by Inordinate »

Now that we can use -move to bring up a NUI window to manipulate and pickup objects, we have the equivalent functionality of having to interact with a fixture in order to pick up (I am ignoring -pickup since it's far less precise). Given this, would it be feasible to remove this part of the conversation when interacting with player fixtures? This would reduce some of the slowdown in interacting with player-fixtures like altars and prevent accidental fatfingering and picking them up (and necessitating bringing up the -move window anyway to fix the damn thing).

I feel this is an especially big win when dealing with latency due to larger player counts, since it cuts out one 'dialogue' load from the process for these things as well. I hesitate to also point out using player fixtures for dweomering but given we're over a year now of waiting on it I figure even a short term gain to making it less tedious would be nice.
