Hello,
What are the options for a disguised person to join a faction (-faction) without providing the real name?
Bank transfers are possible via faction account, so I was wondering if something does exist for a faction itself.

Nothing exists for disguises with factions. You have to use the floaty name to join a faction.
I personally treat it as OOC if requested to add a perma-disguised person to a faction for access to property, but be wary as I don't think all players treat it the same, and I know DMs treat it as WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).
Unfortunately Lively is correct.
Most will treat it as an IC thing.
Having played a perma disguise individual for extended periods it takes a considerable amount of work to get around.
But also given the (frankly odd) ruling that you have to give your name out as a disguiser atleast once, I'm not sure it's feasible to stay hidden forever anyway.

The faction menu is considered an OOC tool, so deducing someone's identity via checking -factions would be considered a rule break.
Though obviously I would expect people to still intentionally and unintentionally meta-game it.

That is not accurate at all.
The only thing OOC about the -faction menu is the OOC messages part. Thats it. All else is IC.

What are you basing this on? I've asked about this very question about 1,5 years ago and was told by both a DM and an admin that names on the faction menu are OOC information.

You are entirely incorrect. The factions menu cannot be used to beat disguise. The only things that can are scry (with special restrictions), spot, shop signs, and quarter signs.
(Maybe I missed something, but if you are unsure, you can ask for clarification through the Astrolabe)

The mechanical faction system (as accessed through the -faction menu) is a quality-of-life system, a conceit to the fact that this is indeed a computer game, that is intended to make it feasible to keep track of people and manage accesses.
It is OOC. Using information gained exclusively from the -faction menu for IC purposes is considered metagaming.
