I had 3 notebooks on a char that as made before EE came out. They are titled as follows:

One of these had 30 notes, the other 2 had 15 or less. I recently discovered that each time I opened and looked at one of these books, some of the notes had disappeared. I made a bug report trying to recover it and was told to make a report here in hopes the dm's could prevent future losses.
Aster later told me those notebooks can only hold 10 notes maximum or this will occur. I had already made copies of Alicia's notes at the arcane tower and replaced my own notebook with a newer one, just in case the old book from 2016 lived by a different set of rules than newly made ones.
For what it's worth, I have an old .bic of my character with the intact notebooks, if that would help me somehow in getting these remaining notes back. I had made some detailed in game journal's about my char, DM Noodles event where we slew Vivian Lechaunce's Feylord, as well as notes on DM Templates Angel/Demon/Devil event involving the chalices, all dating back to 2016. It sure would be nice to have these back as the slaying of the feylord is coming back to haunt Aeriel now with an event DM Titania is running. And that Devil/Angel/Demon event could generate a fun sequel as well, given Aeriel's somewhat pivotal actions in helping secure one of those chalices.
