A double-whammy here. First my character managed to get stuck inside the obelisk that houses the rope attachment point (highlighted in red) during the conversation window. Using -makesafe put me on the other side of the chasm on top of a trigger that immediately spawns hostile undead, while being unable to move.
Bug 1
The issue: Getting stuck inside the obelisk that forms one of the rope anchor points.
What I expected to happen: Be able to walk back out after failing to get the rope across, or try again.
What actually happened: Remained stuck inside the obelisk and had to use -makesafe to get out.
Bug 2
The issue: -makesafe at this point puts you on the other side of the chasm on a trigger that spawns hostile undead.
What I expected to happen: get moved to the entrance doorway of this room or perhaps the entrance of the entire floor.
What actually happened: moved to the patch of floor where you can see my character, which caused the undead to arise and attack while I was still locked out of control of my character.
As noted in the chatlog the doors in this area also have some problems. While open, you can't click through them and have to wasd. If you're in combat around them it's difficult to target enemies and instead repeatedly end up with character breaking combat to interact with the door.
