The design idea of the Grotto and Gnomish areas could use a redo and unification which doesn't really require a lot of work.. just unifying what is currently existing through a design change and transition points.
I envisage the Grotto and Gnomish-themed areas as 3D concept linked through the Grotto lift and one which would be tying all of the areas together in a logical sense.. which at the moment is lacking in there.
Level 0 - Grotto Village (deep gnome theme), already done.
Essentially the area is done, the great lake should connect to it directly though as the Grotto is already with a large body of water it. The great lake should be a logical connection and extension there from where the water comes from). The lift placed in central position though instead of the stairs. Add a waterfall on the side wall which feeds into the lake.
Level 1 - Middle Grotto (theme: gnomes, dwarves, halflings)
Fix the Huts please!
Area is pretty much done. Move the portal into Upper Grotto, ml Move The lift in the central location to align with level 0.
Little quarters on the wall could have viewing points that allow to look down into the level 0 as they are located on the wall that goes up from level 0.
Level 2 - Upper Grotto (theme: earthkin and visitors)
Lift in Central location, portal point located in here instead of Middle grotto. Shops area, direct access to Earthkin village.. could be even right in the Earthkin village without any additional transitions/doors
Level 3 - Turret Tower (theme Earthkin research)
Lift in Central location, essentially turret Tower Moved to Earthkin village and opened to buy quarters to citizens of Brog
Level 4 - Airship level, accessible through the lift.
Functional airship connections to other cities markets on the arelith surface OR functional airship in a way we have ships that use sailing skill and crew
