Currently there is an abundance of leys, often found every 1-3 areas in most sections of the map, this often makes arelith seem like island cities connected by teleporters. Outside of helping other players access leys, or traveling to distant dungeons and writ work there is essentially no reason to be anywhere besides a city. There is also no savviness to traveling, no shortcuts, or interesting routes, it feels very disconnected to the setting. To fix this, and create more interesting map travel dynamics I propose the following:
1. Many leys are removed, perhaps between 30-70%
2. More areas are unable to be exited with a lens (spellcraft check for esf trans?)
3. Magical weather effects render certain areas to be unaccessible via portal, or left via lens interdependently
4. Certain leys which remain are similarly inactive during certain times (someone suggested elven full moon portal) or maybe requiring high noon, etc etc
5. Certain lays are inaccessible unless they are temporarily opened with spellcraft check/ ritual / gems, etc, some special thing required to open them for X amount of time
I dislike how any level 30 character can get a wisp "So and so is being attacked at Y place!" and all 9 of their friends can arrive within 30 seconds
