Did you take Twohand Weapon Focus feat at first level?
For you, the day Kenji overhauled your class was the most important day of your life.
But for me, it was Tuesday. To-do list

Re: Did you take Twohand Weapon Focus feat at first level?
First level feats are tough. I like to pick things that would be in pretty much any build that works with those starting stats in case I decide I don't like something and want to change it. I don't like shoe horning a character into a weapon style.

Same. Never weapon focus level one.

Almost exclusively Expertise or Blindfight since I know I'll almost always need them.

Definitely save all level 1 feats for absolute necessities. Would never take a weapon focus level 1.

Blind fight on every character that isn't a mage.

Yes, I did in o e if my characters and I regret it immensely, would love to switch. Don't know what I was thinking.
Re: Did you take Twohand Weapon Focus feat at first level?
I've seen it universally as a bad idea, since two-hand builds can get immensely screwed over by minor class tweaks. They're generally less resistant to change, so if you've got a two-handed build that works now, it's hard to say if it'll still be good a year from now. Locking yourself in by taking that weapon focus on your first level means you're burdened with taking exotic weapon prof. if you want a weapon that you can sword and board with.

Why are we specifically talking about the 2H weapon group and not all weapon groups?

Re: Did you take Twohand Weapon Focus feat at first level?
We usually recommend players to take as few things as possible on lvl 1. No skills at all and only feats that are very mandatory like expertise and blind fight. The less you take on level 1, the more freedom you have later when you need to salvage the character from an update few months/years down the line.

Because there's talk of consolidating weapon groups to remove two handed and likely wanting to see if this screws a lot of people over.

That changes how I view this question for sure. This is such a poor way to solicit feedback for this kind of change if that is the true intention of the poll.

It's a poll, not a feedback thread. Nobody is asking for anyone's opinion. However, don't come to conclusions and paint things in such a negative light or spread unsolicited rumors if you can help it.

Re: Did you take Twohand Weapon Focus feat at first level?
The only feats I take at first level are Extend Spell, Toughness, or Blind Fight. Literally, if you can at all help it, NEV-ER take niche feats that might fall out of favor at first level for the love of all gods
Edit: I MIGHT consider taking Evo Focus as a first level feat on an elementalist, specifically. Point is, the only feats I would ever take are feats that are guaranteed to stay on a build unless the class becomes so heavily changed that the character is unsalvageable.
