As per the title, was testing out Improved Ki Strike +5 on the PGCC against premonition and other DR reduction spells, and it was not penetrating them as it should. This was on a Bard/Vigilante/Dragon Disciple.

I would like to join in on the bug report but the outcome of my tests is not quite clear.

character with ki 5, 25 bab, 6 dex modifier, deep vigilante on pgcc

resting with empty glove slot:
31 ab as expected, 1 blud damage bonus from unknown source

equipping gloves (with no properties, no ab bonus) > ab raises to 33, damage bonus is now +1 blud and +7 blud > unequipping gloves > ab raises to 35, blud damage bonus is now just +7, without the previous +1 property.

resting with gloves equipped:
31 ab, +1 blud damage > unequipping gloves > ab raises to 35, damage becomes +7, the +1 blud damage is gone.

My own conclusion, but it might be false because it's confusing:

• I have no idea where this +1 blud is coming from in either configuration.
• the +7 blud looks a lot like the +7 blud I was always getting on a ki 5 monk, 3 from passive ki 3, and 4 from ki 4 and 5, as expected, except in this case it is inconsistent.
• the ab looks like it counts the ki 5 after unequipping gloves, and does not count it when gloves are worn. Confirmed by smacking mobs, not just looking at the sheet.

I have not tested DR penetration but I think the OP's conclusion does not surprise me because of all the other glitchy behavior going on and I have a STRONG feeling that the DR pen works when the ab is granted but doesnt work when gloves are equipped and the ab is not granted.

Just to add onto the last posts:

I remade the same build and tested it without applying signature weapon mastery to the gloves just to see if that's what was breaking it. Same results, did not pierce through premo's 30 DR. I also tried it without the gloves, same result.

As far as I could tell, it's not just Ki Strike +5. It seems like none of them are working for vigi right now.

For internal investigation and record keeping:
The old Ki Strike 4 & 5 design was shifted to inc_monk_old in preparation for NuMonk Ki Strike feat crunchdown.

The likely quick fix here is to add Vigilante/Liberator/Shaman/Warpriest/Any relevant synergistic Ki Strike 4 & 5 classes to the qualifying level calculation in inc_monk_old.

Dev-side I am stuck on setting up my AreDev for days now and can't get a properly functioning testing environment going. If any contributors can fix and test this before I do, that'd be great.

Any chance it's related to this?
