Either we need to stop letting sailors find masterwork runes, 600k cloaks and coats, and 4 million gold parrot chalices, or we need to put some equivalent loot in dungeons. It doesn't necessarily have to be a parrot chalice or a sailing coat, maybe it could be a rod that gives you the teleport from GSF: Trans, or some kind of artifact that gives you -yoink. Heck even the scry mirrors, if you could feed them spell components to reuse them instead of being single use, would be a great alternative.
Considering the amount of gate keeping, discord shenanigans, and loot hoarding that current sailing crews are doing, I think it may be worth nerfing them anyways, because they certainly aren't spreading the wealth around. Even them being "inclusive" often amounts to "Tom Sawyering" you into doing all their work for them finding map pieces for them to sell or pirate chests for them to open later without giving you a chance to roll for any of the loot. Which imo is really terrible and makes me lose respect for these players since they obviously don't respect 6 hours of my time.
Another idea is to just add a crafting recipe for both the cloak/jacket and the parrot chalice. Make the cloak/jacket require azurite and make the parrot chalice require rainbow agate. Now suddenly sailors aren't making a whole lot more money than the rest of us because they can no longer gatekeep these 3 items.
