Eldritch Doom currently has an issue like most AOE spells, which can cause it to miss targets inside it's AOE.
Currently it is a ranged aoe, similar to a fireball, except the aoe applies instantly. It it's an unlimited amount of targets in said range, But often fails to hit them entirely. It ignores touch AB/AC in exchange for lower damage compared to a regular blast.
This suggestion, which would hopefully differentiate it from the Eldrich Chain, which also functions in an small aoe (But with limited targets, and still an touch attack). Is to turn it into an AOE Nova spell, similar to Frost Nova.
Frost Nova currently works in an instant gargantuan range (20ft) and take up to 15d4 cold damage. (so maximised 100 damage) It's an circle 3 spell, Which makes it an apt comparison to Eldritch Doom
The stat proposal is the following
Functionally, applies to all creatures (Except party members and yourself unless Feylock pos blast, or undead for undying neg blast))
AOE Size becomes "Large" (5 meters) (Greater Doom currently)
Greater Doom becomes "Huge" (6.67 Meters)
No longer damages fixtures (QoL, it's very easy to accidentally blow things up with, as it always seems to hit on fixtures and things like chests)
Damage and other modifers remain the same. No touch attack, but no longer ground targeted. This puts it in an unique position somewhere between the long range high single target of Eldrich Blast/Chain. And between the High damage but melee range Hideous Blow.
