Settlement Pirate Raids

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Settlement Pirate Raids

Post by Ils ne passeront pas »

 Allow the Liberator, Sea Leopard, Warship, Flagship, Dreadnought, and maybe the Tiberfleet to raid cities. The Ships can raid any settlement except the ones they sail from and Myon/Bendir.

 Raiding a settlement puts the crew of the ship in a "Dock" Area and spawns NPC guards appropriate to the settlement. Perhaps each settlement spawns guards in a certain level range?

 At the "end" of this Dock area is a stockpile of gold or resource packets. Players can grab some of either as "loot"; The gold is obviously worth loot, while the resource bundles can be used in the spawning/expansion system for Monsters, allowing people who are citizens of nowhere/exiled from wherever they're a citizen of to make use of the system. Any gold or resources taken are deducted from the City in question's treasury and or resource stockpiles.

 Players who are citizens of the city in question can help NPC guards repel raiders.

 Raiding a city exiles all the raiders until next reset, on account of the guards being too alert to these raiders to let them in, or something similar.
