Ahoy hoy!

I've only just started out on the server (an ill-fated attempt at a fighter a year or so ago notwithstanding. I don't count any character who gets murdered by Kobolds in the first fifteen minutes of play on principle, and neither should you.), and I've been blown away by the helpfulness of the community in general and a few people in particular.

Mithreas: For a display of speed that bordered on terrifying in helping to resolve CD key issues before I even made it in-game.
Mathius: For taking mercy on poor Nikki, freshly off the boat and hideously lost. Thanks to you, Cordor has never known a speedier (or more confused) messenger!
Galýn*: For giving Nikki a tour of Lower Cordor, and thoroughly squicking her out in the process (really, who keeps stocks in the city square?). Buying enough water to prevent mutual death by dehydration was nice too.

*Maybe. Possibly. I haven't figured out how to turn chat logs on yet, so I've very probably spelt that wrong. Sorry!

I've really enjoyed playing with you folks so far, and I'm looking forward to many more adventures to come!

turn chat logs on? do you mean you just haven't pulled the window up? you might have closed it by accident, and it's just beside the window with the battle messages? if you want to see the history, just scroll it. sorry if this isn't what you mean.

welcome and enjoy! every newbie ive played has received considerable help, it's certainly a trend that lowbies and especially new players will get plenty of guiding hands early. after that.... foig.. haha.

Remember, unless you get another program, your logs will only stay until you run NWN again. They can be saved manually by opening them and doing "save as" to another location.

Thanks, Steel. I managed to get Weasel's script working to archive it too, which is making it a lot easier to remember names.

Thanks again to all the folks I've met in-game over the last few days, most of whom have prevented Nikki from suffering an early and particularly messy death.

Another particular spot of Kudos for Rafenna, for turning what was a boring trip to the sewers (Nikki really was just going to drop torches off, I swear) into a fantastic (and traumatising) discussion on society, responsibility, and the nature of morality. After all the positive reinforcement Nikki's been getting up on the surface it's brilliant to run into a darker twist on things.
