Scout Kudos!

Post by Remember when »

Oh. My. Gosh. let me just say the last week of RP has been a rollercoaster of emotion and has contained some of the /best/ RP I've ever had on this server. Just. Whewwweee. Fantastic, from everyone I've gotten to RP with, it's really been grade A stuff. I'd like to do a few call outs.

Leonard: Banquo, my man. A lot of character's role model for a veteran sagely and respected priest people turned to for wisdom. I have had the pleasure of watching banquo go from a plucky and enthusiastic young tormite to a reserved and wise priest over the span of several characters and it has always been amazing. In my opinion, the best character you've made up to date. I'm excited to see more from you.

Uriah: SENPAI NOTICED ME. Your RP has always been amazing, and i only regret we didn't get to trade off sweet bard stories before she rolled.

Lucia Malaveaux:
Every part of aforementioned docks scene was amazing. Oh my gosh. Every time I've ever rp'd with Lucia it's been a tense moment for /me/ as a player wondering what she'd do next. I'm personally terrified everytime I see that name online, and look forward to every instance of RP with you. Also, I really appreciate the OOG courtesies made by yourself and Mary to make sure my side of peeps are having fun and not overwhelmed. Sportsmanship and ooc consideration for our level and faction size.

Shallan: Man. Shallan's character growth from happy political minded blind girl from stalwart knight-in-training. Who'dah thunkit? Scout wouldn't be anything without Shallan being ready for anything, and really being so vested into this whole vagabond knight business. And adding another title to scout's list.

Oliver: TEAM SUPER DORKS! The addition to our motley crew who balances the rampant emotion and rash decisions with logic, documentation, and a lack of humor. The perfect addition to the gang and also great healer/mage rp. Super into it.

Rannos: The scene and confrontation in the temple, the trial, the sass, the bitter snark. I love all of it. And I really appreciate /you/ for making it all happen. Not everyone consents to raises by their enemies after pvp, and you sir are a good example. Hopefully we get to glare and grumble at each other more!

Buppi Dirtytoes: A surprisingly wise kid and confidant to the troubled Knight; they've had their bumpy parts but Buppi is always there to give a hand or require many hands to keep track of him. Another very real, breathing character with a full emotional spectrum who've I've enjoyed rping with the last few days and getting to know.

Penrith: You know what you did. Thank you for what was likely the most defining moment in my character's life.

Roland: The shoutout is for being an exceptionally creepy, well played villian who also attributed to the latest life defining moment of my character. Even if his outfit is literally ghastly. The scene in the lighthouse was very emotional and also very well played out, and I'm glad I got to be there for it.

Honorable shoutouts too;
Mary Blythe
Owain somethingscottish
Larken Dirtytoes
Rosenkranz
Karlotta Sunburn??
Iseult
Original Knights of the Road for their sweet code books to work from
Stellum-something
Ragnarr somethingnorthern

For everyone not mentioned, I'd like to thank you all for contributing to what's been a super amazing and worthwhile ride. I haven't had this much fun in a long time and it's great. You're all great. 10/10.

<3 The Super Dorks. Without all of them, the poor boy would have gone another way. Its been great fun and I can't wait to see how they all crash and burn in the pursuit of truth, justice and safe roads. Surely Ollie will have the whole thing on paper :P

(P.S. That outfit is not ghastly!)

It has been good, Scout. Very good.

Scout has went from a melancholic, lone knight of the road with a firm conviction that she was the last to reforging the order somehow, and becoming center-piece in a very tense brewing conflict with cool players on both sides of it. Conflict drives stories, and inspires characters to do more, and I look forward to how everything pans out.

Until then, keep doing what you do.

Scout is an amazing character. Buppi's friendship with Scout will most likely always be bumpy but her last act of kindness really set the bar of how many layers the character has. More cake~

Scout and the KOTR at large have left a terribly lasting impression on my character and myself as a player in what couldn't have been more than a handful of days.

Kudos right back at you. The whole situation was pretty intense for the prisoner RP I was expecting when I agreed to the raise. It spurred a lot of growth on my side too. Of course, there are growing pains, which is where the animosity towards Scout came in. Anger and resentment is not an emotion I usually get to explore with Rannos.

So, thank you! First time I've actually been part of something that deep. It was and still is a lot of fun.
