About that time...

Post by s.t.a.l.k.e.r. »

"With the rumors of slavery near Sibyad, Ser Larken of The Knights of the Road marches out into the wastes to investigate and...."

What was supposed to be a 24 hour return of Larken turned into some of the most fun "Team Good Guys" Rp that I've had on the server yet, but with my final quarter of Culinary School approaching and a pervasive feeling of stagnation Ive been feeling with his character Ive decided to retire him.

Apologies if I miss anyone~

Andy : Andy was always Lark's great love. She was a source of great joy and overwhelming annoyance ;) You've got your little dramatic hin down and it's always fun to rp with you. Thanks for the great years of playing and for dealing with my disappearances. You've been a good compatriot, keep it up and see you later, eh?

Dazza : Jeeze. You're pretty scary at picking up the traits of the parents for Dazza. It was great for me to meet Lark's son and it's been fun getting to know him. Thanks for the walks and for being the MOST SANE HIN ON THE ISLE, kinda.

Buppi : Lark always had a soft spot for his grumpy little son. Im blown away by the power and sway your moody little hin holds and the character development from the lost little druid. Thanks for always being a lovely little thorn in my sanity, and for the long father son chats.

Neville : Awesome character. A very powerful and scary hin, and very good contrast when he was able to put his father "hat" on. It's been wonderful to run into you again after meeting Nev back when Arthur and crew ran the fort, when I first joined the server. Excited to see Nespin grow.

Scout: Lark's oldest friend on the isle. Thanks for all the silliness and the knightly stuffs. It's really refreshing to see a character who (more often than not) doesn't take things serious on a surface level. The light hearted rp coupled with the strong knight commander was really fun to be around. Good luck with the Knights of The Road.

Ravi: Im very sorry that we didnt get more time to Rp together, I really liked Ravi and was sad to see her go. You're an excellent rp-er and were often the voice of sanity when dealing with the pile of crazy that was Clan Dirtytoes.

Ollie: *HUGS* IM SORRY IM LEAVING YOU WITH ALL THE PAPERWORK. The weirdest "friendship" that could have happened was a whole bucket of fun. It's been really great to be able to RP with you again, even though it was for a shorter time than I would have liked. I still consider you to be one of my greatest RP mentors, thank you.

Zankas: What a wonderful character. I had a really hard time trying to figure out if we were going to be friends or if we were going to have to have the greatest bard showdown of all time (resulting in Larken exploding most likely). The different level of rp and opportunities you gave to Larken were always great! Keep doing what you're doing.

Sky: Incredible character, I really hope to run into you in the future. Lark would be sad to not be able to see her development into the Paladin she wants to be.

Shallan: You're gonna be an awesome Knight. I always enjoyed chatting with Shal and I regret not being able to do so more during my time as Lark, keep it up.

Giogi: Im convinced Giogi is a demi-god of kindness and cloth. You've always been a pleasure to rp with. Sorry to do this RIGHT after you got him his new clothes >.> *Throws karma points at you*

Edit: How on earth did I forget Laura? From their adventures through the planes in Lark's youth to their brief interactions when she became the glorious Commander of the guard, I always had a good time with you. Thanks for all the fun.

Huge shout outs to:
Roi
Alair
Amadeo
Grimly
Krush
The Troffs
Jenna
Liam
Daisy
Storm
Emerald
Ruby
Vil

Everyone who took a few moments to RP with Lark, every conversation helped shape him as a character. Thank you~

If Ive missed anyone im very sorry T.T I will remedy this as I remember things

LARKEN OUT *drops mic*

Larken was great and was most definitely one Liam thought of as a brother!

It is too bad Liam never did get a chance to say goodbye to him before his fateful journey into the UD as he searched for Daisy, but oh well. Good luck with the last quarter of Culinary School buddy!

Godspeed, you magnificent halfling. Larken was a ball to interact with, on every character I ran across him on. Enjoy Culinary School, and y'all come back well, okay?
May you live in interesting times.

DAAAAA~

Buppi will miss you, not sure how that's going to play out. Thanks for the long father-son talks and dealing with an overly emotional wild hin boy. Larken was totally one of the "cool" characters. I mean, he just looked dashing in his armour. Have fun in learning!

Laura will always remember him as the good natured and lighthearted Halfling

Aw man. Shallan and I will both miss you, and the few RP sessions we managed to have were all chill and great. Here's to hoping we'll see each other again in this game soon! Larken was a great mentor and father figure to many, and always good for a talk. <3 from me.

: ( He had all kinds of paperwork ready for Lark when he got back from his Warden duties.

I loved the dynamic between the two and in spite of their differences they always managed to pull together as Knights (or crypt keepers) to do the work. I am going to miss Larken. I was super excited for them working together again.

I hope to see you on another character! <3!

I'll admit Neville for a while was always on the fence over whether to pat Larken on the back in approval or break his nose on sight, but it was great watching him when he was around. Also thanks Larken for presiding over a very memorable memorial last night. Neville would have been pleased.

*he kisses her forehead as a tear rolls down her cheek*
"I wish you well, love." She whispers.
"I'll be back soon." Comes the whispered reply as he taps her chin with his finger.
*with that, the hin leave the Hall to check out rumors of slavery...*

...never to be seen again...?

The luck Andy has! Can't keep em around. LOL

Larken... what to say. So many stories and plots. He was Andy's kryptonite. She swore she would never handfast again and what did they do? Handfasted. Well, it was mainly to annoy Daisy but she loved him.

When they first met she told him to be careful and not fall for her. He didn't listen and soon he had her attention.

I loved Larken. Each time he appeared it was great. If it wasn't for him Andy would literally not be who she is today. My hin wouldn't be half as dramatic if Larken wasn't around then gone then around... then gone... :)

If he does return again, going to have to find someone else to break his nose. Nev's ghost, maybe?

I never planned to start a Dirtytoes clan. I had no plot or goal with Andy. Thank you s.t.a.l.k.e.r. for putting up with her (and my) moodiness. You truly made the family she has today possible.

I'll miss ya. I hope we cross paths again and I look forward to the day we can play side by side once more. <3

Larken made Zankas feel connected for real. He had a huge impact on Zankas less racist emotional state. It's sad he's gone he will be missed.

I will never forget the awkward conversations and hysterical up and downs we had.

From the moment you accused me to the moment I accused you- Farewell and pray I see you on your next adventure.

Roi had now been mentioned in 3 different Kudos in like a month. Thanks! It feels good to know people like the character. We will miss you Larken. Roi is not investigating a suspected plot that someone is trying to eliminate all Hin as apparently all our Hin from Burrowhome are dropping like flies. :(
Will miss you, was a great character!

Also late but..

Larken is another hin Giogi will miss a lot. Always a pleasure to RP with, Larken was a fave of Giogi's. So much so, that he wouldn't steal his girl, even when he was away! ;)
Namil: "He has this effect on young females."

Oliver: "He appreciates comedy." *He utters softly, in a near apologetic tone on Giogi's behalf.*
