Hidden Enemies & Hazards

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Hidden Enemies & Hazards

Post by The Rambling Midget »

After a long and difficult battle, Hector the mighty warrior and Fumblenubbins the snarky rogue stand over a heap of bloody corpses, at the top of which is the once powerful Talonite Druid who had befouled the woodlands with his wretched experiments.

The cave is dark, poorly lit by fading lamps and old torches. The walls and makeshift shelves are lined with glassware filled with all manner of strange substances. A missed step and Hector stumbles toward a strange apparatus. As he reaches out to steady himself, he touches the machine and feels the searing pain of acid, and emits a roaring howl.

Fumblenubbins cackles with glee, "Serves you right, clumsy." Still grinning, he takes a quick step back to avoid the wrath of the grumbling warrior, when out of the shadow, the tongue of a carnivorous plant snatches him into its jaws. Hector reaches for his sword, but still feeling the sting of acid, cannot hold the grip. He stands helpless, listening to the final muffled screams of his quickly dissolving comrade.
