Iku Windamier, farewell for now

Post by FoxyPigeon »

Hallo, I play Iku the wild elf warrior, who has currently dove into the Abyss to go probably, maybe die forever.

So anyway, I wanted to give kudos to all the wonderful people who were part of her story, because despite usually being just one of those quiet background characters, this was my most involved and invested character. I had so much fun playing her!

Nikolaus Snyderthen - He was a good dog..... But no, you are a lot of fun both IC and OOC, and I'm glad to have met you. Nik went through a loooot of changes and was probably one of the most interesting "paladins" I've seen on Arelith. Starting out as a knightly fellow seeking his paladin hood, to vengeful, betrayed, kind of dark; then back to just wanting to redeem himself and becoming good again. It was a lot of development and the relationship between our chars was in depth and interesting.

Shallan, Edrahil, Buppi, Sieg - All of you were great friends to Iku, and our interactions were always loads of fun. Whether we were going to dangerous places or just partying in Shallan's crib, lol.

Viczar - I never expected to befriend a drow, and really wish we could have interacted some more. Either way, you are one of the few I've met, and with an elf of all things. Vic was an awesome character and I'm happy to have met him.

Lucia - While we only had a few interactions, as many people have pointed out, you always push your RP and emoting to the limit! It's very inspiring, Lucia knows how to make situations intense and awkward, and it was great each time.

Tal - The wildling ranger! I remember you, Morgan and I going on all sorts of fun adventurers and great RP as well. Tal telling us stories in the druid grove, taking me to the shadows, and always giving great advice, despite what you would expect from a wildling nature girl, haha. Lots of fun! And I'll never forget Pea! She was best rat, 10/10.

Ixvilith - The perfect mentor for Iku, teaching her the ways of your "Toe bok du?" defensive fighting style, and taking her to horrendously dangerous places. Best teacher. You also gave her wonderful advice and helped her try to maintain her neutral standing. While we couldn't play as much as I'd of liked, when we did, you always tried to make it a lot of fun and incorporate her training.

Vayna - Good friend, always fun RP and adventures between us. Whether it was encountering a horde of drow or watching awkward Asmodeus ceremonies. Hehe.

Morgan Gracehold - Last but certainly not least! I wish I could send you tells, because I love you. xD Morgan has some of the most engaging RP I've ever encountered, she always looks to get people involved. For the longest time I thought you were Annette de Lussan's player because your words/emotes are similar in that they're exhausting to keep up with, and they're so good. I have no idea if you are them, but it doesn't really matter. I never expected to become so close to Morgan with Iku, and I'm gonna miss her a bunch. So many good talks, adventurers, and drama. I always looked forward to bumping into you, and was sad when it started happening less. It was some of the best encounters I've ever had and I really hope I run into you again, whether on Morgan or a new character entirely.

To the tons of other people I've encountered, and probably going to forget a bunch of- thanks for everything! Here's a list of names I can remember currently:

Hirgon, Roxite, Damnatis, Tyreal, Lomir, Labriales, Zankas, Crassus (I'll always remember that time when I shifted into a werewolf, in the middle of a serious discussion.), Pavera, Macy, Borris, Cold Blake, Kano Snow, Leo, Mary, Six, Magda, Daltanius, Marya. And the many, many more I'm probably forgetting! Much love!

"IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN, IT WILL BE TOO SOON." - Iku Windamier, 2016.

Good job. Thanks for helping me get used to this place. Iku was/is awesome. Edra will miss, and so will I.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

She's gone : ( Iku was totally awesome, and Vic's favorite elf, even if their relationship started out a little rocky.

I will not rant on and on about how I enjoyed playing with Iku, instead I will just keep it short.

Without the involvement of Iku and Morgan back when I was just a fresh player trying to figure things out, I would likely have quit playing long ago. That's the biggest compliment I can offer, and I know you'll be around in other variations, and Iku will be missed.

Hirgles: Hi, Iku.
Nik: What? Where?
*Iku goes out of stealth, behind Nik*
Nik: *panics*

When Nik told her "you mean the world to me" he meant it, mostly because she was one of the few who would keep up with his shit and be there when he was venting/ranting/needing someone to talk to, as well as getting him out of the gutter when he was too stubborn to get out of on himself.

That adorable little thing capable of murdering anything that dares oppose her will be missed.

Thanks for responding to my stupid "ragrock" joke. <3
