andy kudos
hello
I rolled Andelos. There were a few people I had a pretty good time with on him
Marya Althschuler
The first time I saw Marya, I was playing my previous character. She was all done up in a black and gold Waymen uniform, and trying to fix her speech. The character seemed mildly interesting, but our paths never crossed again. That is, until I made Andelos, and then it was a long road, to say the least. Marya has an incredible amount of depth, and I'm incredibly pleased that Coastal let me follow her around and ask lots of questions. They were strangely close, and the best part is it never transitioned into some hamfisted romance. Hands down the best "friend" RP i've ever had.
Ragnarr Eriksson
Love this guy. I like how he seemed so intimidating, with all those tattoos and yet- was very easy to talk to, and definitely did his part in including even the silliest Infernalists (ie Andy)
Ann Thrule
st-stop making fun of me
Real talk though, Ann was a lot of fun. A good motherly (ish) figure for the young boy, and one who didn't worship devils at that.
May'riina Xun'viir
I always liked being around May. Even though she talked about eating children on a regular basis, there was something endearing about her.
Marshal Carpenter
This guy is an ace. Big kudos to this player, for not just Marshal's general excellence but their other character I met as well. Top shelf.(Sorry about starving you to death)
Rhynn Saebel
Poignant, in a word. Rhynn reminded Andy of things that could've been, but just weren't to be. A surprisingly overlooked (a real crime, 4 srs) character with a lot of depth.
Sines Oliver Selakiir
Someone I certainly didn't expect to interact with, and definitely not in the way that it went down. A big help in helping me tie up Andelos' stuff. Thanks man
Lucia Malveaux
Absolutely wonderful. The amount of effort she puts into the Star, and her own character is clear, her writing is exceptional- could go on and on with compliments. This character played a definite role in my own growth as a roleplayer, and I'm very happy to have squeezed every bit of interaction I could out of her.
Shiera Sarhys
This character, I felt had so much depth. When Andy and Shiera spoke, I felt as if I was only scratching the surface of an incredibly detailed character - detail that I never really got to fully explore, to my chagrin. Shiera was very good at distracting Andelos with promises of adventure. The pair's travels together are among my fondest memories of him.

Bruh. You rolled a scimitar wm? Unoptimal.
You better have gotten a 5%.

Late to the game here. When it comes to good stories Andelos/Marya is one of those things that could of and should have been more that it was. They were too different to have a romance perhaps, but man oh man, given they way the two of them "grew up" on arelith, it could have been something insane if (iffn) they finally took that "next step" and just owned who they were.
I will hate for a long time that RL made it so I didn't see the last days of Andelos.
With the loss of the M's it was a hard thing for Marya, Andy and Stellen got her through that. Wish I could have played that story out longer!

I forgot how much I missed Marya's accent.CoastalSurf wrote:(iffn)
Though for serious, Marya was The Best and a big reason I waited so long to roll him. Once she was gone, it was kinda tough to keep on going without her. A really big hole was left, both in him as a character and my motivation.CoastalSurf wrote:Late to the game here. Re: andy kudos
This is making me way too sad. I really enjoyed him, you, what the Star had going, and I felt there were so many directions to develop to that we never got the chance to explore. Though they did develop a bit together nonetheless. Maybe it didn't show as much on Shiera, since she's not as expressive, but Andy was really close to her.
There was this simplicity about him that made his story all the more tragic, because much of the time it made me wonder what went wrong in his life that made him an Infernalist instead of a Knight, since he seemed to have had the proper traits to become the latter in future years, once he matured fully. But I wouldn't have it any other way. It's when the bad guys are actually people that the stories really become touching.
(Shiera cried when she heard, I'll have you know - quite a bit)
