An Event Calendar

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

An Event Calendar

I just read about another event, had i known my toon would have loved to been involved with. However this isnt the first time, i read about something really cool that happened while doing other things.

My Suggestion is this, Add a Forum Calendar with times of upcoming planned events. They can be DM run or Player, but these can be announced other then using the crier, to maybe encourage more involvement with other peoples plots, stories, DM hooks, etc.

This was used on another server years ago and the DMs were able to actually run an ongoing campaign just like in pnp that added immersion behind the normal day to day goings on.

Some things you would have to be involved with from the getgo, but some could just be one offs to spice up things. Major events like seiges or occupations or even all out attacks could then be better coordinated and let others not involved with all parts to interact within the plot as well.

I mean we all keep saying its about the stories, it never hurt to have a basic plan to help those stories along.
