Gladiator Arena expansion

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

few ideas on the arena since it has such great potential

These ideas are all stand alones, and not meant to necessarily work together.

•Increase XP awarded per tier of difficulty(25 to 50?). Right now, you can get 250 XP per reset/a really long time, and even in the time taken to get that you can get more out adventuring AND gold/resources. Even with gladiator background it's not worth it.
•Increase the cap on fights with XP award, remove it, or just decrease the XP some.
•In order to avoid XP farming vs weaker enemies, make it so after X level you don't get XP against weaker mobs.
•Add more unique named foes(a la Fighting Pit), with bets and everything, and greater reward(less than fighting pit), and cooldown on it.
•Add "official PvP" matches, similarly to fighting pit, players can make bets.
•Challenge fights, where you can take on multiple foes for slightly greater reward.
•Add betting for normal fights like fighting pit, but a lot lower cap(100-500 gold depending on difficulty).
