After reading the thread about Identifying Drow and where that led along with a few other things I had though of I thought I would make this.
1) Perhaps offer a option for the Original Poster to close a Q&A Post? Mby make it similar to yahoo answers and the like where the OP can pick the "Best Answer" and then close it? You could always make this a moderator's job that has Admin Rights, but if you wanted to keep the extra workload off yourselves this would work well I think.
2) When you are viewing a thread, you lose the action bar for going to things such as "unanswered posts" and "Active posts" ext... that are on the board index. Perhaps add these back in for all other views? IDK about other, but I often peruse through all the "active topics" and the like after I have viewed the "View your posts". Something small but I decided to mention it.
3) In regards to #1. Perhaps add "answered" threads to the general reference forum or create a new subform for these, and make a search bar so that players who are new or missed the post before it was closed can "Search" a keyword or two and view old threads, thus cutting down on future posts and offering a easy redirect in case the same question gets asked anyway.

Re: Possible Forum Updates?
If you as an OP want a topic locked, ask the forum moderators or me. Or just state in the topic "thanks, answered, can be locked" ...
Normally we get to it quickly. If we don't, pm or skype.
