Arelith Shower-thoughts?

Post by Grimspark »

I just imagined reading all "massive exposition dump" character descriptions as I.C. monologues (as it is IC info) and I can't stop laughing about it...

Example; Jenny meets Sir Poopian The Paladin:

Jenny:
"Hi there, I'm Jenny!"

Sir Poopian:
"And I am Sir Poopian! Born to a noble family and raised to be a protector of innocence everywhere!
As a young boy he showed promise with horse and lance and won his first tourney by age 12.
Gentle by nature, confident by training and purpose! Sir Poopian's resolve to see justice done would be tested however when a local woman, accused of being a witch, was sentenced to death by his hand. He was not convinced however by the "evidence" presented and no confession was forthcoming... What was Sir Poopian to do?!
Being unable to take a life he himself deemed innocent he let her escape.
As a result he was shunned form his homelands forevermore!"

Jenny:
"uh ok then!" *smiles and nods*

That is all.. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

If I have to scroll to read your bio, I'm not reading it. Sorry, not sorry.

Until the game allows us to keep doing stuff while also having an examination window open, unless you're a (very interesting) fixture, no dice.

That made me chuckle.

I always wonder, when my character looks at another, how does she know all that information? Is she really that intuitive, that she just knows, that man over there once had a kingdom to rule? Is it something about his eyes that screams he was an orphaned king? Hmm 🤔😅

I've always wondered if there's showers. Maybe just in Lantan.

Who is the audience for this post?

Where are all the toilets?

The only toilet I've found is in a goblin stronghold. Are goblins the most civilised of us all?

Where do all the corpses go in between spawns? My theory is a cabal of necromancers has been building up the largest undead army ever to be seen in the Realms by collecting all the bodies writ-workers create. They patiently wait for the moment to strike.

Don't let the necromancers win, bash what you kill.

Legitimately, this is why my Good characters will burn random found corpses of people they definitely wouldn't raise (e.g. a monster, a known dangerous criminal). They may be evil and undeserving of resurrection, but no one deserves to be animated.

Rolled: Solveigh Arnimayne, "Anna Locksley"
Shelved: Maethiel Tyireale'ala, Lalaith Durothil
Current: Ynge Redbeard, ???

Every time I find a slice of cheese on a dead enemy and eat it, I feel ashamed and wonder if a DM saw.

Seriously though the title of this thread made do a double take. I sworn the first entry was going to read:

"Dear Myon, I never thought this would happen to me but . . . "

Oh, they definitely saw. They're the ones who put the item there so they can take screenshots of you eats the slice of cheese dropped on the floor from a monstrous humanoid.

If humans came up with calling hin halflings, then hin should start calling humans doublings.

As a wholeling, I would very much like it if I was a doubling but alas. I am not

Although from a hin's perspective I would be very much a doubling, yes.
