Hostile creatures consistently seeing through GSanc effect
Description
==========
Many hostile creatures consistently have the ability to see through GSanc (such as the one provided by Godsave) and will continue to attack the player.
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
1. Cast GSanc or die in a fight and get godsaved with gsanc effect.
2. Try to leave
Expected result
-----------------------
1. Hostile mobs in your vicinity should stop attacking you and not attempt to chase you right away.
2. Casting invisibility or going into stealth while you flee should further protect you.
Actual result
-------------------
Hostile mobs in your vicinity will not only continue attacking you, they will also chase you through area transitions despite being unable to see you, even if you cast Invisibility or go into stealth while they are quite some distance away--furthermore, they will sometimes continue to chase you until you or they are dead even if you're two areas away.

Re: Hostile creatures consistently seeing through GSanc effect
Has this issue appeared recently?
Re: Hostile creatures consistently seeing through GSanc effect
I'm unsure if sanctuary works as a 'invisibility', but I have noticed this too casting invisibility on myself with creatures at range (far enough for me to be certain they would not see me), without see invisibility, yet they continued to attack and chase what seemed like 1 or 2 rounds before the game finally 'realising' i am actually invisible.
So wondering if it's a similar/same bug with the invis effect then?

I have no idea how G. Sanc is suppose to work, anytime I ever get G sanc from casting it or god saving, mobs deagro for like 3 seconds, then immediately start chasing me down again. I assumed it only worked in PvP? It's been doing this for a long time I don't have an actual timeline though :\

I've found the only way to get the correct result is to immediately dump Darkness on yourself after using an invisibility spell.

It’s because the creatures queue up attacks and will try to execute them regardless of Gsanc. It has always been this way - the amount of times I’ve godsaved and then instantly gotten sent to the fugue by duergar archers finishing their queued attack is too damn high.
You’ll find creatures without see invis will follow you for a full round, sometime even more, after you pop invisibility. Same bug.

Could it be fixed if, upon a triggered god-save, all hostile NPCs within a colossal radius were to have their queue cleared?Aren wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 9:12 am It’s because the creatures queue up attacks and will try to execute them regardless of Gsanc. Can confirm this happening to me too under the Godsave VS Death Gsanc effect.

I found a possible culprit for this. Will submit an experimental fix.
Re: Hostile creatures consistently seeing through GSanc effect
One possible solution to the issue is for the script on GSanc to also trigger the HiPS effect that break combat queues. Not sure how doable that is.

The experimental fix is now live. Let me know if the issues persist!

It's been some time. Has anyone observed similar issues within the last 10 days?
If not, I'll move this to closed.
