So. I'm sure in the course of our RP we've all searched for or researched some odd things. I've done a bit of writing in the dim and distant past, sometimes these answers are hard to find. So we fall down internet rabbit holes.
In a bid to collate this odd and unusual knowledge, and make each other chuckle at the oddities of our respective internet search histories and hopefully not alarm the FBI so they know why we research this stuff... here we go.
I'm sure we've all learned bits of a foreign language and some of us may be old enough to remember before xanalress was a thing, saying the words manually and confusing everyone. Ryana has been learning "Amnian" because well. Velasco. Which has led to me learning Spanish. I've in the past used kemetic phrases for my Mulhorandi characters and of course French for the Cormyrians. I'm even having to remember my German because of the Cranes!
My most bonkers search to date has involved finding the perfect angle if one were delivering a blow from close range with a punching dagger to instantly incapacitate or kill with a single blow.
But this week I have fallen down a rabbit hole of Spanish swords and smithing techniques. Very cool stuff. Might see if any Spanish blades were on Forged in Fire.
