Bok

Post by Hin_Priestess »

I love this character. Any time Airean interacts with him, I never know what to expect. Bok's animosity with Terto is epic to watch and I can't wait to see how that will end.

Even though he's wild, he's a hin through, and through. And I just wanna give Bok's player kudos from playing such an epic character.

I love Bok. I've given him compliments in game for his Bok-speak. He's super adorable.

I have to agree, Arrinock get very little time to see Bok, or Terto but when I do I love the animosity there as well as our loving friendly conversations ;) . Hopefully I'll get to see more of these guys in the future, but in general a shout out to the Fort too, its amazing to see people coming back and bring a new breath of life to the Burrowhome :D

Thank you, as Bok is a way to let all the stress of my day just wash away. I do look forward to our gnome interaction with both of those terrible beasts.

But in all fairness, everyone Bok interacts with, those players deserve just as much praise, because they make him fun to play

Often, we see characters that have a defining trait that fade with time: Mute characters eventually become un-muted, blind characters become sighted, idiot characters become less idiotic; why? Because it's damn hard to role play these handicapped characters!

It takes special effort to emote all those nuanced gestures, facial expressions, and tone of voice through a single line of text. As for Bok, he's still stuck trying to communicate to other characters with his speech impediment or language deficiency or whatever the reason he speaks the way he does. For the effort you put into that character I'd say, "Kudos to you!" Bok's a unique character.

I really like Bok too

Shanna went from not understanding him at all, to disliking him due to comments he had about her robes which are important to her.
To ending up very much befriending and eventually understanding him, and even being able to interpret him to other people.

and thats of course a very slender and quick version of events.

Shanna has so much respect for and love for Bok, hes endearing in his own way but is also caring, protective and has a heart of gold.

In my nearly 9 years playing on this server, one of the most original RP ever. ... Is it a speech impediment, ... or his accent??? ;)

Bok-speak should be a thing. I seriously love seeing this character around, he always adds so much flavor to the RP =)
