A great conversation can be happening in the Tower, and then we get WestinBombed. Neaten up his admittedly inaccurate conversation, or make him speak in a smaller radius.

While on this subject there are many NPCs, [Particularly Writgivers] who sprew massive amounts of text in the middle of conversations. Reginali and the the fruit seller are another two.

Also the NPCs at the Mayfields Inn spam text lines all the time

I would love to see the conversation radius of some NPCs reduced and their scripted shouts less spammy. Mayfield's is unplayable, for example.

Nothing is worse than the settlement quartermasters. People fly through those options and it just spams a massive amount of text. I've definitely had conversations derailed when someone wanted to know EVERYTHING in the brog extended warehouse.

Mayfield's as a whole needs to go out of business or be renovated entirely, as there is no way they can keep up with how empty it is there.

their conversations are in fact private, but there's a long-standing relatively frequent NWN bug that that privacy is ignored - if you've ever seen someone else's conversation with a Speedy Messenger, this is an example of such.

I second this suggestion. You can hear westin talking even when you're stadngin next to the portal. It is as if he's standing with a loudspeaker there.
