Notepaper character limit
Hello!
I'd like to float the idea that perhaps the text character limit of notepaper could be increased.
Currently, you can only use 2000 characters per sheet of paper, which is plenty enough for many uses, but for a character who enjoys writing longer, detailed reports and stories, it can be a bit too short. I would like to suggest the limit might be increased to 3 or even 4000 characters. As it is now, often players will post notices that include two or three extra sheets, which takes up spaces on both noticeboards and notebooks. This change will allow players to write more, whilst not hogging extra space on these note storage tools. This is a fine benefit for both the players who want to write more, and the players who get frustrated at multiple posts of the same report/story.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Notepaper character limit
I would do terrible things for this to become a reality, but about a year and a half ago I asked Bat about this (who I think made/helped the new-note system we enjoy now?) and apparently there are engine difficulties that necessitate the 2000 character limit we have now.
All manner of squirrely things might happen: Old notes going haywire, dialogue window nightmares, and elder evils awakening from the dormant slumber of a gigaschatten system nobody is quite certain how still functions. I may have embellished one of these things.
I still dream, though. Let us dream together.

So we're very much on track.

I'd like to join this group of dreamers, for only good things can come from having increased the character limit on notes.

Re: Notepaper character limit
What would be so good if it could be done, it's a pity about the limitations.
Biz here was a constant subliminal hum, and death the accepted punishment for laziness, carelessness, lack of grace, the failure to heed the demands of an intricate protocol.
Re: Notepaper character limit
The character limit on notes has been increased to 10,000 characters.
Scholars and scribes rejoice!

This better not be a joke!
Well done! I did not think we'd see the day =)
